installs MediaServer Express Edition at The Wilmington Star News, N.C. ALPHARETTA, GA., (October 3, 2007) -- The Software Construction Company (SCC) is pleased to announce the sale and installation of their SCC MediaServer Express Edition system at The Wilmington Star News, N.C. (circ. 55k [m-sat], 60k [sun]) In order to keep the cost of MediaServer Express Edition as low as possible SCC has tied the product to Microsoft's SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Advanced Services, which is a free, downloadable, easy-to-use, and lightweight version of SQL Server 2005 with a maximum database size of 4 GB, sufficient to hold 400,000 objects. With the new MediaServer Express Edition, SCC expects to target companies that either do not have the need for the larger capacity MediaServer Enterprise system, or that initially wish to start out small but with a view to upgrading to the Enterprise Edition at a later time.
