SCC installs a consolidated MediaServer system for Advance Publications Michigan newspapers May 22, 2009 ALPHARETTA, GA., (May 22, 2009) -- SCC is pleased to have been selected as the vendor of choice to implement a centralized and consolidated archive for Valley Publishing, a consolidation of three Advance Publications newspapers in the Michigan area. The SCC MediaServer system interfaces to the Valley Publishing BaseView editiorial system to provide users at all three sites with a unified publishing and content management experience. The SCC system provides a comprehensive set of web browser enabled tools for story planning and scheduling, multimedia request, assignment and fulfillment, acts as a shared photo workflow system for incoming wire and staff generated photos and graphics, as well as a central archive of photos, graphics, stories and completed newspaper pages. SCC MediaServer automatically delivers published content to other technologies such as the company web site and content syndication vendors including Lexis-Nexis, Factiva and NewsBank. The SCC MediaServer system replaces a GMTI Digital Collections archive system.
