The Tacoma News Tribune installs an SCC News Budgeting, Assignments and Multimedia Workflow

ALPHARETTA, GA., May 16, 2011 -- SCC is pleased to announce that their SCC MediaServer Enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) system is now fully installed and operating live at The News Tribune, Tacoma WA.

The SCC MediaServer Enterprise system installation replaces an existing Merlin archiving system and included the successful migration and insertion of approximately 500,000 photos and graphics, 80,000 PDF pages and 1 million stories.

The new SCC system incorporates multi-publication news budgeting and assignment tools, sophisticated photo workflow for wire and staff generated photos and graphics, as well as a bi-directional interface to the News Tribune’s publishing systems, supporting automated archival and linking of multimedia packages consisting of photos, graphics, stories and pages.
