The SCC MediaServer system includes a bi-directional interface to the companys cloud-based Saxotech system, also being implemented at the same time, to provide a shared photo workflow for incoming wire and staff generated photos and graphics, as well as automated linking and archival of multimedia packages consisting of photos, graphics, stories and complete pages. In addition, the SCC system delivers content to portals both inside and outside of Scripps networks, such as content syndication vendors including Lexis-Nexis, Factiva and NewsBank. The cloud-based SCC MediaServer system is now live and in use by the E. W. Scripps' Treasure Coast property with remaining properties scheduled to come onboard throughout 2011. "The installation and support we received from SCC during the first phase of the Scripps plan to move to a cloud environment has been excellent. We have received prompt attention to the requested needs of our photo editors and archivists", said Mike Rzasa, Sr. Publishing Systems Manager for the E. W. Scripps Company, "It has been a pleasant experience to work with SCC and we look forward to implementing more sites into our consolidation efforts." Verizon Data Center Outsourcing provides the hosted server infrastructure, with SCC providing system software and application support. The SCC system will ultimately replace a number of legacy archive systems currently in use throughout the E.W. Scripps group, reducing significantly the annual costs for maintaining duplicate systems. About SCC SCC MediaServer systems are installed at digital
media companies in 20 countries, with more than 6500 licensed concurrent
users and holding a combined quarter of a billion assets. Outside the
USA, SCC has distributors covering Australia, Europe, the Far East,
